Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
Tank data: Level readings, timestamps, tank type, capacity, and calibration settings for tanks connected to your system.
Device information: The unique identifier of your AnchorSense garage unit, and a push notification token identifying the phone or tablet you use the app on, so alerts can be delivered to it.
Notification preferences: Your alert settings for each tank.
Profile information (optional): If you choose to participate — the first three characters of your postal code, household size, and dwelling type. Voluntary, can be skipped during setup.
If you opt in during setup, we record anonymized summaries derived from your tank readings — a fill rate, tank type and capacity, and any optional profile details you provided. Each summary is stored under a freshly generated random identifier that is never saved or reused, so summaries cannot be linked back to you, to your property, or to one another. Your email address, account identifier and tank identifiers are never included.
These summaries may be used for research and product improvement, and may be shared with third parties in aggregate form. If you do not opt in, no analytics records are created at all.
We use Google Firebase for database, authentication, and push notifications (firebase.google.com/support/privacy), and optionally Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication.
Data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which permanently removes your account, your tanks and all stored readings. You can also request deletion by contacting info@anchorpoint.ltd.
Anonymized analytics summaries are the one exception: because they carry no identifier linking them to you, they cannot be located and removed after the fact. Nothing in them identifies you or your property.
As a Canadian company we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact info@anchorpoint.ltd.
AnchorSense HomePro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
